I feel led to encourage you my brothers and sisters as in these days I keep hearing of so many sufferings that the body of Christ is going through. It is time to wage war my brothers and sisters –
2 Corinthians 10:3-5 (21st Century King James Version)
3For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war according to the flesh.
4For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God for the pulling down of strongholds,
5casting down imaginations and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ,
We have been given the weapons we need at the place of the cross, at Calvary, when Jesus disarmed the enemy. Yes we are told that we will face trials and tribulations, but as victors and not victims. We have the power (vs.4 – some versions use the word powerful) through Christ but are not using it. We spend so much time missing the real objective – spending time and chilling out with a loving father, not what we often see as serving and placating an insecure God/tyrant that needs to have our praises or He will blow up in a fit and a rage.
Sidenote: Yes I know this is not how we all see God (thankfully), but many do and it is those that brothers and sisters that I hope you will help me to pass the message to.
The main portion of scripture that I want to focus upon is that of Hebrews chapter 2, verses 1 to 9. Please see verse 8 – There is yet so much more to come, we will judge angels we are told (1 Corinthians 6 vs. 3) is just but one example. So what is going wrong? The enemy is taking too much ground in our lives yet he is an imposter:
- 8 Be sober, be vigilant; because[b] your adversary the devil walks about like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour. (1 Peter 5 vs. 8 [see 1 Peter 5 vs. 5-11]).
- 14 And no wonder!
For Satan himself transforms himself
into an angel of light. (2 Corinthians 11 vs.14 [see 2 Corinthians 11 vs. 5-15 - False apostles]). Transforms but does not become an angel
of light – deception
- 10 The thief does not come except to steal, and to kill, and to destroy. I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly
While led to the scripture below this morning the Lord spoke to me about the way in which we are not using are our powerful spiritual weapons (also see Ephesians 6 vs. 10-18).
Hebrews 2:1-9 (Amplified Bible)
1SINCE ALL this is true, we ought to pay much closer attention than ever to the truths that we have heard, lest in any way we drift past [them] and slip away.
2For if the message given through angels [the Law spoken by them to Moses] was authentic and proved sure, and every violation and disobedience received an appropriate (just and adequate) penalty,
3How shall we escape [appropriate retribution] if we neglect and refuse to pay attention to such a great salvation [as is now offered to us, letting it drift past us forever]? For it was declared at first by the Lord [Himself], and it was confirmed to us and proved to be real and genuine by those who personally heard [Him speak].
4[Besides this evidence] it was also established and plainly endorsed by God, Who showed His approval of it by signs and wonders and various miraculous manifestations of [His] power and by imparting the gifts of the Holy Spirit [to the believers] according to His own will.
5For it was not to angels that God subjected the habitable world of the future, of which we are speaking.
6It has been solemnly and earnestly said in a certain place, What is man that You are mindful of him, or the son of man that You graciously and helpfully care for and visit and look after him?
7For some little time You have ranked him lower than and inferior to the angels; You have crowned him with glory and honor and set him over the works of Your hands,(A)
8For You have put everything in subjection under his feet. Now in putting everything in subjection to man, He left nothing outside [of man's] control. But at present we do not yet see all things subjected to him [man].
9But we are able to see Jesus, Who was ranked lower than the angels for a little while, crowned with glory and honor because of His having suffered death, in order that by the grace (unmerited favor) of God [to us sinners] He might experience death for every individual person.
I was recently reminded by God as to what is was supposed to be like when God gave us dominion and yes Lucifer had already been cast out of the heavens along with the ⅓ of the angels who sided with him and were like prisoners on a formless earth. See the following for biblical confirmation on this:
- 16 “ By the
abundance of your trading, You became filled with violence within, And
you sinned; Therefore I cast you as a profane
thing Out of the mountain of God; And I destroyed
you, O covering cherub, From the midst of the fiery stones.
17 “ Your heart was lifted up because of your beauty; You corrupted your wisdom for the sake of your splendor; I cast you to the ground, I laid you before kings, That they might gaze at you. (Ezekiel 28 vs. 16-17 [see all Ezekiel 28 vs. 11-19 for the full story])
Kings – Mankind in the original form of Adam and Eve
- 15 Yet you shall be
brought down to Sheol, To the lowest depths of the Pit.
16 “ Those who see you will gaze at you, And consider you, saying: ‘ Is this the man who made the earth tremble, Who shook kingdoms,
17 Who made the world as a wilderness And destroyed its cities, Who did not open the house of his prisoners?’ (Isaiah 14 vs. 15-17 [see Isaiah 14 vs. 12-21 for the full picture])
- 17 Then the seventy[a] returned with joy, saying, “Lord, even the demons are subject to us in Your name.”
18 And He said to them, “I saw Satan fall like lightning from heaven. 19 Behold, I give you the authority to trample on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy, and nothing shall by any means hurt you. 20 Nevertheless do not rejoice in this, that the spirits are subject to you, but rather[b] rejoice because your names are written in heaven.”
(see Luke 10 vs. 17-20).
(see Luke 10 vs. 17-20).
In who’s name? What has He given us?
Are you getting the picture. The deceiver is doing just that, deceiving us into submission. Stand up Christian and take your position. Be careful not to be misled and test the Spirit in all things.
Matthew 24:24 (New King James Version)
24 For false Christ’s and false prophets will rise and show great signs and wonders to deceive, if possible, even the elect
You are more than a conquer in Christ my brothers and sisters, so fear not, get the leading of the Holy Spirit and stand your spiritual ground.
Romans 8:37 (Amplified Bible)
37Yet amid all these things we are more than conquerors [a]and gain a surpassing victory through Him Who loved us.
God bless you, God keep you, God cause His face to shine upon you and be gracious to you; May God lift up His countenance upon you and give you peace (the peace that passes all understanding in Christ Jesus)
