Is hell is a myth?

Well there is a question and a half. A lot of people (religious of not) can understand the concept of heaven or a paradise to some extent, but try and discuss hell and the conversation may quickly find itself being changed. This week I have not been feeling very well and during this time, apart from sleeping and medication, I spent time watching Christian programming on the internet and reading my bible a lot. A continuous pressing has been upon my spirit to share what I believe the Lord is wanting us to focus on – eternal salvation.

My last post  was entitled God is not slack concerning His promise where I talked about the signs of Gods promise, creation yearning for the return of Jesus, the pruning/preparation that many saints are experiencing, of which I also gave an example of an area in my own life (still and will continue to be alcohol free). A key scripture from that post was:

‘For it is written, you shall be holy, for I (the Lord) am holy.’
1 Peter chapter 1 verse 16 & Leviticus chapter 11 verse 45.

During this time that I have been feeding on the things of God, He has been showing and reminding me of the importance of sharing His gospel, the need for repentance and the accepting of Jesus in our lives, in order that we may obtain eternal salvation.

Whilst Repentance (see Wikipedia definition)  is not a popular concept in this age that we live in, it by no means makes it any the less essential. John the Baptist cried out to all to ‘Repent, for the kingdom of heaven is at hand’ Matthew chapter 3 verse 2, many came to him to be baptized and repented of their sins. The need for salvation is of paramount importance in order to receive eternal salvation and to avoid the horror of an eternal life in hell.

Jesus said to him, I am the Way and the Truth and the Life; no one
 comes to the Father except by (through) Me. John 14:6

There are three videos that I will list below (not for young children) with the hope that, you watch them and draw your own conclusions. I believe both to be a true reflection on what is going on within the spiritual realm and through personal experiences of my own, I have no reason to doubt; but that is me and you have your own set of experiences. If the video’s only causes you to question the ‘What if it could be true’ then it will have began something that may not have been a thought beforehand.

video 1 - Satan's plan

Video 2 - Watch a heart surgeons programme on events of everyday peoples experiences. the link take you straight to google video.

Video 3 - 23 minutes in hell

I find it amazing how so many different people have given such similar accounts. You can check out the link to the spirit lessons website (in links on the right hand side) for more videos, books, MP3's and films on Christian topics.

1 Thessalonians 5:1-11
The Day of the Lord
 1 But concerning the times and the seasons, brethren, you have no need that I should write to you. 2 For you yourselves know perfectly that the day of the Lord so comes as a thief in the night. 3 For when they say, “Peace and safety!” then sudden destruction comes upon them, as labor pains upon a pregnant woman. And they shall not escape. 4 But you, brethren, are not in darkness, so that this Day should overtake you as a thief. 5 You are all sons of light and sons of the day. We are not of the night nor of darkness. 6 Therefore let us not sleep, as others do, but let us watch and be sober. 7 For those who sleep, sleep at night, and those who get drunk are drunk at night. 8 But let us who are of the day be sober, putting on the breastplate of faith and love, and as a helmet the hope of salvation. 9 For God did not appoint us to wrath, but to obtain salvation through our Lord Jesus Christ, 10 who died for us, that whether we wake or sleep, we should live together with Him.
11 Therefore comfort each other and edify one another, just as you also are doing.

1 Thessalonians 5:23-24
Blessing and Admonition
23 Now may the God of peace Himself sanctify you completely; and may your whole spirit, soul, and body be preserved blameless at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ. 24 He who calls you is faithful, who also will do it

My prayer for you all:

24The Lord bless you and watch, guard, and keep you;
 25The Lord make His face to shine upon and enlighten you and be gracious (kind, merciful, and giving favor) to you;
 26The Lord lift up His [approving] countenance upon you and give you peace (tranquility of heart and life continually).
 Numbers 6:24-26
